A hybrid event is a format where part of the audience is physically in the room and part joins remotely — live, at the same time. Simultaneous interpretation for this format combines the on-site setup (ISO 4043 booth, receivers) with a remote RSI channel, synchronized so that whoever is in the room and whoever is at home receive the interpretation at the exact same moment, in the language they choose.

About interpretation for hybrid events
Does the interpretation reach the room and the online audience at the same time?
Yes — that synchronization is the whole point of the hybrid format. The interpreter team and technical setup are built so both audiences receive the interpretation at the same instant, with no perceptible lag between channels.
Do I need a physical booth even with an online broadcast?
