About us

Connecting languages in real time since 2007

STIB Simultaneous Interpretation was founded in São Paulo in 2007 with a simple purpose: eliminate the language barrier at the exact moment it would happen. Since 2011 we have also operated outside Brazil as the official interpreter of the Brazilian delegation at WorldSkills, the world's largest professional skills competition — across four editions, in the English–Portuguese pair, supporting competitors and assessors across different competition categories. Today we provide on-site, online, and hybrid interpretation for corporate, scientific, and government events, with an in-house team of certified interpreters and equipment meeting the ISO 4043 international standard.

How we operate

What sustains the result at every event

  • Certified conference interpreters — a team of AIIC, SINTRA and ABRATES member interpreters, scheduled by language pair and by the event's technical field.
  • International standard equipment — ISO 4043 acoustically insulated booths, interpretation consoles, and digital UHF/FM transmission, with backup included in every contract.
  • On-site technical crew — every event has a dedicated technician from start to finish, never outsourced on the day.
  • In-house national logistics — crew and equipment travel to events in any Brazilian capital, with no local-partner intermediary.
  • Advance preparation with the client — briefing, glossary, and event materials shared with interpreters ahead of the date, to align sector-specific terminology.

Field-specific terminology, not generic interpretation

A generalist interpreter delivers a grammatically correct translation with imprecise technical terms. STIB schedules professionals with a track record in the event's subject area, to reduce that risk.

Medical & scientific

Medical and pharmaceutical congresses and research symposia, with clinical and regulatory terminology.

Government & diplomatic

Summits, institutional forums, and state meetings.

Financial & legal

M&A, roadshows, international arbitration, and due diligence.

Energy & oil & gas

Technical conferences in energy, oil, and the energy transition.

Technology

Innovation events, startups, and multilingual product launches.

Agribusiness

Trade shows and business rounds in the agricultural sector, with supply-chain-specific terminology.
